Business Strategies for a New World

Red MouseAs the world moves further and further into a technological enchantment, people are quickly catching on. As various presentations warn “outsiders” to jump on the symbolic bandwagon, we cannot forget about the current successes of our population in terms of technological trust and capability. The people of the world have found ways to fall in love through wires, computer screens and microchips. While porn still maintains a significant amount of internet users, the population is finding a sexier, more appropriate way to communicate. With such websites as match.com and eharmony, the romantic lovers of today have become technologically efficient: now that is sexy. To be honest, if I met a girl who doesn’t have a Facebook, I might be slightly turned off. Either way, my point is relatively simple: the world has gained a sexy change of attitude with internet communication… serendipity  for all who venture into the mysterious world of the internet.

The two presentations validate my previous point. The presentations themselves are innovative and sexy in nature. Connections are being made, and language adapts to a younger generation. As the group project begins, such a trend must continue. I’m eager to see what our group can do to help the UF Young Entrepreneurs for Leadership and Sustainability. Just like any business plan, it’s only one thing to establish a guideline for people to follow; the bigger challenge will be establishing some plan that the UFYE will follow after we are finished.

Hey I’m Joey Rosati, a freshman Finance major, also minoring in English. I’m about to begin pledging for SAE. I still play soccer, both indoor and outdoor at UF. I co-founded the Student Consulting Group on campus. With regards to technology, I’m relatively up-to-date with a Facebook page, I-Phone and Mac Computer. I’ve also put together a couple of websites. Myspace and Twitter are too much for me to handle. Through this class, I hope to gain a greater understanding of the relationship between the corporate and digital worlds. CGS depleted any form of personal inspiration with regards to computer software, so hopefully this class will reinvigorate any lost passion. As for my favorite company, I’m going with Apple. It’s not just because I own various Apple products. Since Microsoft’s development of technological products, Apple has taken technology to a more sophisticated, better looking level. On another note, I find it interesting that Bill Gates is one of the minority owners of Apple… one of Microsoft’s biggest competitors.
